About Setting Up Employee Positions and Employee Reporting Structure for Forecasting

Siebel Forecasting relies on employee positions and positional hierarchies when creating a forecast. The user must appear in the employee table and have a position to create a forecast. Employee relationships between a manager and an employee are established by way of the parent position field on the employee's position record.
