Installing Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 1 or 2

The following procedures describe how to install Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Packs 1 and 2 on PIMSI Engine computers and Exchange Connector computers.

You must install either Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 1 or Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 2.

This task is a step in Process of Installing SSSE in a Microsoft Exchange 2003 Environment.

To install Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 1

1. On the computer where you want to install the software, open a browser window, navigate to the Microsoft downloads Web site at the following URL, and locate the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 1:

   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

2. Create a folder named SP1 on the computer's local hard disk, or in another network-accessible location.

   (You can either download this software to each computer where you want to install it, or you can download it to one network-accessible location, and install the software from that location for each applicable computer.)

3. Download the E3SP1ENG.exe file into the SP1 folder by clicking the E3SP1ENG.exe link on the Web page.
4. Install the service pack according to the instructions provided by Microsoft.

To install Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 2

1. On the computer where you want to install the software, open a browser window, navigate to the Microsoft downloads Web site at the following URL, and locate the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 2:

   http://www.microsoft.com/downloads

2. Follow the instructions provided on the Web page for downloading and extracting the Microsoft Exchange 2003 Server Service Pack 2.
3. Run the installation package from the SP2 directory.
