Siebel Briefings Architecture
Users can access Siebel Briefings using a standard Web browser. Siebel Briefings accesses servers outside the company's firewall to provide users with information from external content providers. Figure 1 shows the Siebel Briefings architecture. The illustration shows a Web browser that connects to a Web server. The Web server connects to the Siebel Gateway Name Server, which in turn connects to the other Siebel servers. The Siebel servers are connected to a database and, through the Internet, to content services.
