Store-and-Forward Messaging Logical Architecture


Figure 2 displays the logical architecture for Siebel Store-and-Forward Messaging.

The Siebel Store-and-Forward Messaging Server includes the following components:

  • An outbound server component to construct and send outbound messages to the server outbound queues
  • An inbound server component to retrieve and process inbound messages
  • A Transport service to deliver messages between the Siebel Server and server queues
  • Siebel workflows to orchestrate the inbound and outbound server components
  • Store-and-Forward Messaging administration to manage or administer the Store-and-Forward Messaging server

On the handheld client side, Store-and-Forward Messaging client modules are integrated with Siebel Handheld applications.
