Mapping Generic Room Blocks to Property-Specific Room Types

After generic room blocks are created, the administrator must map the property-specific room types to the generic room block types. This facilitates the conversion of generic room block items during the create quote process. This process assumes that the administrator has already created the appropriate room types for the property. For more information, see Creating Sleeping Rooms.

NOTE:  The procedure described in Creating Sleeping Rooms also details how to map a generic room block to property-specific room block types. If you do not map the sleeping room to a room block type at that stage, you may do it using the following procedure.

This task is a step in Process of Setting Up Products and Assets.

To map a generic room block to a property-specific room type

1. Navigate to Administration - Product screen > Products list.
2. In the Products list, query for the required generic room block product.
3. Drill down on the Name hyperlink.
4. Click the Specific Products view tab.
5. In the Specific Products list, click New.
6. In the Add Specific Product dialog box, select the appropriate property-specific room type, and then click OK.
7. Save the record.
