Limiting Access to a View for All Responsibilities

.Limiting access to a view provides a more global way to limit access than limiting access to a view that is referenced from a responsibility. If you use the procedure that this topic describes, then Siebel Remote limits access to the view for every responsibility that references the view.

To limit access to a view for all responsibilities

  1. Log in to the Siebel Server with administrator privileges.

For more information, see Logging In to the Siebel Server as an Administrator.

  2. Navigate to the Administration - Application screen, and then the Views list.
  3. In the Views list, query the Name field for the view to which you must limit access.
  4. Make sure the Default Local Access check box does not contain a check mark.

The Views list includes the entire list of views in the Siebel application. It includes a subordinate Responsibilities list that allows you to identify the responsibilities that are associated with a particular view. The Local Access flag determines if a view is available for the user who is assigned to that responsibility.
