Encrypting the Local Database

To encrypt the local database, you must use the sse_utf8.dbf template file. This file is a local database template file that comes with your Siebel application. It provides the starting point to create your own database template. It is not encrypted. To encrypt the local database, you must extract the database with the EncryptLocalDbMethod parameter set to AES. For more information, see Step 9.
