Configuring the Collating Sequence

To create the templates that you use when you create a new database, Siebel CRM uses Unicode encoding. Siebel Remote supports every collating sequence.

To configure the collating sequence

• Set the SortCollation parameter in the CFG (configuration) file.

  If you do not specify the SortCollation parameter, then the Siebel application uses Unicode multilingual collation. For help with a collation template that does not come predefined with a Siebel application, see Getting Help from Oracle. For more information, see Modifying the Configuration File.
