Creating Additional Categories


You can add more categories to a KB. Make a copy of your existing KB file, open the KB file in KB Editor, then add the new category. These procedures are described in the sections that follow.

To add an additional category to your KB

  1. Copy the KB file to your project in Banter Workbench, then open the KB file using KB Editor in Banter Workbench.
  2. Add a new category.
  3. Review the corpus, and add text to the corpus for the new category.
  4. Select items that you want to train on, and have some other category texts for regression testing.
  5. In the Create, Analyze, and Learn wizard, to apply learning to the new category, choose the option called Apply learning to selected.
  6. When you are finished, move the KB back to the \cms directory.
  7. Import the new category to your catalog, or add the new category manually to the catalog.
