Siebel applications are shipped with certain Siebel Analytics metadata. These metadata repositories are included with Siebel operational applications and Siebel Industry Applications. All the rules for security, data modeling, aggregate navigation, caching, and connectivity for the Siebel Data Warehouse are stored in metadata repositories on the Siebel Analytics Server.

This chapter describes configuration necessary for the Siebel Analytics metadata for Siebel operational applications, specifically those areas that a Siebel administrator may need to adjust for Analytics purposes. These administrative tasks generally cover two areas:

• Metadata reporting requirements for Siebel operational applications Analytics

The Siebel operational applications are built around a general business function, such as Siebel Sales, Siebel Service, and Siebel Call Center. Siebel Industry Applications are built around specific industries:
