Process of Upgrading Seed Data

The seed data mentioned in this topic refers only to the data used to integrate Siebel Analytics dashboards into a Siebel operational application. Seed data also includes data required to support localization of the Siebel Analytics metadata.

You may need to upgrade Siebel seed data for the following reasons:

• If you are upgrading seed data in a language that is not the primary installation language, see Importing Locale Seed Data into the Siebel Transactional Database.
• If you are upgrading seed data for a Siebel Industry Application, see Importing Siebel Industry Applications Seed Data.
• If you are upgrading seed data from an earlier version of Siebel Analytics, see Updating Older Analytics Seed Data.

NOTE:  This book does not include any changes to the Siebel repository or seed data updates that may be required for the data warehouse upgrade. For repository and data warehouse data upgrades, refer to Siebel Data Warehouse Installation and Administration Guide.
