Overview of the 7.7 Analytics Bridges

If you are using Siebel eBusiness Applications version 6.3 and have also licensed version 7.7 of Siebel Analytics, you will need to use the 6.3 to 7.7 Analytics Bridge.

If you are using Siebel eBusiness Applications or Siebel Industry Applications version 7.5.3 and have also licensed version 7.7 of Siebel Analytics, you will need to use the 7.5.3 to 7.7 Analytics Bridge.

Installation of these bridges allows you to use the newer functionality of Siebel Analytics 7.7 with either the 6.3 or 7.5.3 versions of the Siebel eBusiness and Industry operational applications.

You can also use the 6.3 to 7.7 Analytics Bridge to upgrade from the Siebel 6.3 to 7.5 Analytics Bridge.

The Analytics Bridge applications use the data warehouse as defined in the Siebel Data Warehouse Data Model Reference, Version 7.7.

NOTE:  The Usage Accelerator functionality is not supported in the 7.5.3 to 7.7 Analytics Bridge application for Siebel Industry Applications, but it is supported in the 7.5.3 to 7.7 Analytics Bridge application for Siebel eBusiness Applications.

CAUTION:  Because of inherent differences in the underlying application schemas, the 7.7 Analytics Bridge applications do not perform a complete mapping of all Presentation layer columns in the Siebel Analytics repository. This may also affect those dashboard reports built from the columns that are not mapped. See Technical Note 429, located on Siebel SupportWeb, for a list of Presentation layer columns and reports known to be affected.
