Upgrading the Siebel Data Warehouse from Version 7.7. to 7.7.1

This section provides instructions for upgrading to Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7.1. A prerequisite to the 7.7.1 upgrade is to upgrade data on the Siebel transactional database.

NOTE:  If you are upgrading to Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7.1 from Siebel Data Warehouse 7.5.3, you must first upgrade to Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7. For instructions, see Upgrade Requirements for Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7.

To upgrade to Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7.1 from version 7.7

1. Configure the DAC.
   1. In the DAC, navigate to Setup > Database Connections.
   2. In the Tables subtab, set the Refresh Date as null for the source tables S_SRC and S_SRC_DCP.
2. Execute the Upgrade 7.7 DW to 7.7.1 DW execution plan.
   1. Navigate to the Execute view.
   2. In the Execution Plans tab, select Upgrade 7.7 DW to 7.7.1 DW.
   3. Click Run Now.
3. In the Informatica Workflow Manager, navigate to the folder Upgrade_INCA_to_7.7.1 and run the following workflows:
   1. Upgrade_From7_7_to7_7_1
   2. If the Usage Accelerator subject area is part of the data warehouse, run Upgrade_From77_to771_for_UsageAccelerator.
4. In the DAC, run the Complete ETL execution plan as a refresh (to populate new data warehouse entities).

To upgrade to Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7.1 from Siebel Data Warehouse 7.7 for Siebel Industry Applications

1. Configure the DAC.
   1. In the DAC, navigate to Setup > Database Connections.
   2. In the Tables subtab, set the Refresh Date as null for the source tables S_SRC and S_SRC_DCP.
2. Execute the Upgrade 7.7 DW to 7.7.1 DW execution plan.
   1. Navigate to the Execute view.
   2. In the Execution Plans tab, select Upgrade 7.7 DW to 7.7.1 DW.
   3. Click Run Now.
3. In the Informatica Workflow Manager, navigate to the folder Upgrade_INCA_to_7.7.1_1 and run the following workflows:
   1. Upgrade_From7_7_to7_7_1
   2. If the Usage Accelerator subject area is part of the data warehouse, run Upgrade_From77_to771_for_UsageAccelerator.
4. In the Informatica Workflow Manager, navigate to the folder Upgrade_INCA_to_7.7.1_2 and run the following workflow:

   SIA_Upgrade_From7_7_to7_7_1

5. In the DAC, run the Complete ETL execution plan as a refresh (to populate new data warehouse entities).
