Configuring the Siebel Application in Console Mode

After installation, you must start the configuration utility.

To run the configuration utility

1. Launch the configuration utility in console mode from the UNIX_OS/Server/Siebel_Enterprise_Server/language subdirectory on the DVD or network image.
   • Siebel Gateway Name Server. UNIX_OS/Server/Siebel_Enterprise_Server/gtwysrvrcfg
   • Siebel Server. UNIX_OS/Server/Siebel_Enterprise_Server/siebsrvrcfg
   • Siebel Web Server Extension. UNIX_OS/Server/Siebel_Web_Server_Extension/config
   • Siebel CORBA OM. UNIX_OS/Server/Siebel_CORBA_Object_Manager/config

     where:

   • UNIX_OS = Your UNIX operating system, such as AIX, Solaris, or HPUX (for HP-UX)
2. Enter the following command on a single input line:

   setupUNIX_OS -is:javaconsole -console -args StringTable=SIEBEL_ROOT/_uninst/product_directory/table.txt

   where:

   • UNIX_OS = Your UNIX operating system, such as aix, hp, or sol
   • product_directory = The subdirectory where the product is installed, such as ses (for Siebel Enterprise Server), eappweb (for Siebel Web Server Extension), and so on

     NOTE:  There should be no spaces before and after the equals sign in the command.
