Installing Actuate e.Report Designer

Actuate e.Report Designer lets developers for the Windows platform design and create reports, using its graphical user interface.

Installation of Actuate e.Report Designer is not required to run the Siebel Reports Server.

If you install Actuate e.Report Designer, you must install it on a developer machine that has Siebel Tools installed on it.

NOTE:  The following procedure is for installing the base product. For patch installation instructions, refer to the Maintenance Release Guide provided with the patch.

To install Actuate e.Report Designer

1. Insert the appropriate DVD for the Siebel applications you are installing into the DVD drive:
   • Siebel eBusiness Applications, Base Applications for Windows
   • Siebel Industry Applications, Base Applications for Windows
2. Navigate to the following directory:

   Client_Ancillary\actuate\language\erd

   where:

   language = The Siebel code for the Language Pack you installed; for example, enu for U.S. English.

3. Double-click Setup.exe.

   The Actuate installation wizard will guide you through the installation process.
