Process of Unattended Installation and Configuration

In some secure computing environments, user input of installation parameters during the installation is not allowed. In this case, you can run the installation process in unattended mode.

Unattended installation prepackages the required installation and configuration parameters so that you only need to execute a command to perform installation.

NOTE:  Unattended installation provides no feedback or error notification; therefore, it is vital that you test your configuration in a development environment before system-wide deployment in a production environment.

The unattended installation process requires multiple tasks that you should perform in the following sequence:

  1. Editing the siebel.ini Files for Unattended Installation.
  2. Console Mode Installation and Configuration, or Sample for Optional Components.
