Creating an eMail Response Profile


If you are implementing Smart Answer to return information for eMail Response, you will need to create an eMail Response profile. To create an eMail Response profile you need to perform the following tasks.

  • Create an eMail Response profile.
  • Associate the Profile with a setting.
  • Make sure the eMail Response-Process Message Workflow points to the Smart Answer profile.
  • Set up Input Arguments.

To create an eMail Response Profile

  1. Navigate to Site Map > Smart Answer Administration > Smart Answer Profiles.
  2. In the Smart Answer Profiles screen, click New, then use the table below to complete the fields.
    Field Name
    Description

    Name

    Required.

    Catalog Name

    Required. Name of the KB catalog that you used when you enabled the Smart Answer server component.

    Business Component

    Required. Must be set to "Mail Agent Activity."

    Business Object

    Required. Must be set to "Mail Agent Activity."

  3. Step off the record to save it.

To associate an eMail Response profile with a setting

  1. Highlight your newly created profile, then click the Settings view tab.
  2. In the Settings view, click New, and choose a setting, then click OK.
  3. Step off the record to save it.

    NOTE:  The eMail Response profile is preconfigured to send body and subject fields for categorization. To add another field, see Creating Additional Fields for Analyzing Incoming Messages.
