Enabling Smart Answer Server Component


You must set the Knowledge Base name parameter in the Smart Answer Manager server component in order to bring the server component online. The parameter name is that of your catalog. If you named your catalog KB, then you would enter this value as the parameter name.

To enable the Smart Answer server component

  1. Navigate to Server Administration > Components.
  2. In the Server Components list, locate Smart Answer Manager.

    The Smart Answer Manager server component will have a component state of Unavailable.

  3. Click the Component Parameters tab and query for the Knowledge Base Name parameter.
  4. In the Component Parameters list, change the Current Value field to the KB catalog name.

    NOTE:  Changing the Current Value field to the KB catalog name allows the Smart Answer Manager server component to be brought online when the Siebel Server is restarted.

  5. Verify that the value in the Component State field is Online.
