Upgrade Guide for DB2 UDB for z/OS and OS/390 > Tuning the Upgrade Scripts >

Discarding Changes Made by the Upgrade Tuner

Upgrades: All upgrades.

Environments: Production environment only.

This topic is part of an upgrade process. See How to Perform the Upgrade.

If you make an error using the Upgrade Tuner, you can discard the changes to the upgrade scripts.

When you run the Upgrade Tuner, it automatically creates a backup copy of your original master, driver, DDL and SQL files, and appends the name of the original backup files with .orig.

This preserves the original backup files in case you need to roll back to the standard (pretuned) versions. If you run the Siebel Upgrade Tuner multiple times, the names of your most recent backup files are appended with .old.

For more information on the Upgrade Tuner, see About Tuning the Production Upgrade Scripts.
