Siebel Data Warehouse Installation and Administration Guide > The Siebel ePharma 6.3 to 7.5 Analytics Bridge > Installation Process >
Adding 7.5 Siebel Analytics Responsibilities to 6.3 Siebel ePharma Users
The Siebel Analytics 7.5 repository has predefined Analytics responsibilities.
To see predefined Analytics responsibilities
- Using the Siebel Analytics Server Administration Tool, open the repository.
- Select Manage > Security.
- From the left pane of Security Manager, select Groups.
NOTE: These responsibilities are also defined in the Siebel 7.5 operational OLTP. They are used for dashboard and page visibility and for data visibility.
All Pharma Analytics responsibilities have the following characteristics:
- In the Security Manager Groups view, their names are preceded by PH.
- Data level security for Pharma Analytics responsibilities is based on Siebel Position ID.
- Data level security for Pharma Analytics responsibilities is always resolved through the Fact table.
- For administrative roles, data visibility is unconstrained.
- For other roles, data visibility is controlled by one of two forms of position-based security: Brick or ZIP Code.
- The data warehouse stores the relationship position-to-Brick/ZIP Code in the W_ALIGNMT_DH table: align_item_type = Zipcode or Brick.
- The relationship user-to-position is stored in the W_PARTY_LOGIN table.
Therefore, users see only the data from the bricks or ZIP Codes that are available to their positions.
- This security is enforced for all queries, with the exception of queries that deal exclusively with the following elements:
- Time Period
- Product
- Invitee Status
The Siebel Analytics 7.5 responsibilities shown in the Siebel Analytics Server Administration Tool do not exist in the Siebel ePharma transactional database for version 6.3. You must first create the responsibilities in the Siebel ePharma transactional database, then assign them to Siebel Analytics users, depending on the visibility that you desire each user group to have.
NOTE: To enable Horizontal (Siebel eBusiness Application) options, add them to the users.
Table 13 lists the Siebel ePharma Analytics responsibilities and their functions.
