Troubleshooting a Failed Snapshot Task


The the Task Information Log file for snapshot generation can be found in the Siebel Server log directory. Check the log file named MktgSrvr_xxx.log in siebsrvr\log to review error messages.

For the Marketing Server, the default log level for the event of type General Events is 3. Log level 3 is a good level for all components. You can change the level of detail in the log file (trace) before starting a snapshot task by changing the log level. To change the log detail level, use the Server Administration screen's Components view. In the Component Event Configuration subview, locate Marketing Server in the Server Components list and set the log level for General Events to a number greater than one.
