About Changing the Database Schema in a Development Environment

The first step in deploying Siebel database schema changes is to make the schema changes in a development environment, using Siebel Tools. For information about this step, see Siebel Tools Reference.

Keep track of whether your changes include creation or modification of views or applets. This information will affect later steps in the deployment.
