Installing Dialogic CT Connect


This section describes how to install Dialogic CT Connect and the necessary service pack. For detailed installation instructions, refer to CT Connect Installation and Configuration Guide.

NOTE:  In the procedure below, installing Online Documentation is optional, and installs the same Dialogic documentation set that is described in Additional Documentation for Siebel CTI Connect.

To install Dialogic CT Connect

  1. Install the Dialogic CT Connect hardware key.
  2. Attach the hardware key to the parallel printer port on the Siebel CTI Connect Server machine. The hardware key must be present before the CT Connect Server software is started.

  3. On the machine on which you will install Dialogic CT Connect Server and Dialogic Call Information Manager, log on as administrator.
  4. You must have administrator privileges to install Dialogic CT Connect Server.

  5. On the Windows Server Ancillary Programs CD-ROM from Siebel Systems, locate setup.exe in the directory \Thirdpty\enu\dialogic\ctconnect.
  6. Run setup.exe.
  7. Accept the CT Connect license.
  8. Verify CT Connect registration information.
  9. In the CT Connect Destination dialog box, accept the default destination directory for the installation.
  10. In the CT Connect Installation Type dialog box, select the Custom installation type.
  11. In the CT Connect Components dialog box, make sure that the following components are selected:
  12. Accept the default shortcut location.
  13. In the Select Interfaces dialog box, select both options, Java(TM) RMI and DCE/RPC.
  14. In the Select Next Step dialog box, accept both defaults.
  15. Specify that you will restart your computer later, and click Finish.
