Introduction
This guide explains how to use the Siebel eEvents Manager for Finance module to plan, execute, and evaluate marketing events. It includes information about setting up an eEvents Web site, and about the interactions Web users have with that site, in order to learn about and register for events.
Siebel Systems offers two optional modules for event management related to the financial industry:
- Siebel eEvents Manager for Finance - provides a Web client interface which allows employees within your company to manage events as well as register for them.
- Siebel eEvents for Finance - provides a Web interface available through an internet connection to a URL which allows customers, partners, vendors, and others outside of your company to view and register for events.
This guide discusses both of these optional products and describes how to perform administrative and end-user procedures in both modules.

Persons responsible for installing and configuring Siebel eEvents Manager for Finance need a thorough knowledge of the architecture of Siebel eBusiness Applications and standard Siebel installation and configuration procedures. A working understanding of Siebel Business Process Designer, Siebel Communications Server, and the Siebel Marketing, eSales, eService, and eChannel applications is strongly recommended.
