Bookshelf v7.5: Setting Up the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines

Follow these procedures to set up the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines.

To set the component request parameters for the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines

Insert or edit a component request for one of the following server components:

Service Order Fulfillment Engine

Service Order Part Locator Engine

Add or modify the server component parameters as needed.

To set asynchronous or synchronous operation of the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines

From the application-level menu, choose View > User Preferences > Service.

In the ASYNCHRONOUS FULFILLMENT OF section, do one of the following:

To set asynchronous operation of the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines, select Orders.

To set synchronous operation of the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines, clear Orders.

To set system preferences for the Fulfillment and Part Locator Engines

Navigate to Site Map > Application Administration > System Preferences.

In the System Preference Name column, locate the name of the system preference to set.

Type in a new value in the System Preference Value field, as appropriate.

System preferences are listed in Table 79. For specific system preference values, see Table 76.

To register changes to system preferences, restart the Field Service server.

DefaultFulfillInvloc	Default inventory location	Enter the Row ID of the inventory location.
InventoryTypeForPT	Inventory location types	Enter the Inventory location type from which pick tickets are generated. The values should be from the Inventory location type LOV and individual values should be any of the LIVs. To add an inventory location type, enter its name as it appears in the application, enclosed in single quotes. Separate location types with commas.
AllocationRule	Allocation rule	In the System Preference Value column, enter 1, 2, or 3 to specify the applicable allocation rule.
OrderStatusToBeFulfilled	Order status	To add an order status, enter its name as it appears in the application, enclosed in single quotes. Separate status values with commas.
OrderItemStatusToBeFulfilled	Order line item status	To add an order item status, enter its name as it appears in the application, enclosed in single quotes. Separate status values with commas.
Fulfill-SearchAllSublevels	Whether to search child locations	Enter a value of TRUE and FALSE. TRUE - Search the specified inventory location and all its child inventory locations specified by Sublevel relationships. FALSE (default) - Search the specified inventory location and all its fulfillment hierarchy locations but not the child inventory locations specified by Sublevel relationships.
