Business Scenario for Importing and Exporting

This scenario provides an example of a process performed by a sales manager and a sales representative. Your company may follow a different process according to its business requirements.

A sales manager at a large company is working on a presentation. She plans to export data from both the Revenues screen and the Forecasts screen into Microsoft Excel so that she can use current revenues and forecasts in her presentation. Later that week, she is given new revenues in the form of a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet which she imports into Siebel Forecasting.

The company's forecast administrator has learned that the display name of a field in the Revenues screen has been changed and that a new field has been added. As a result of this change, the administrator now needs to update the mapping in the Revenue Import process.
