An electronic device (scanner) that reads barcodes. There are two types of readers:
Readers that plug into a computer and emulate typing on the keyboard. These can be programmed to add special characters before or after the code, for example a carriage return symbol after each entry.

A bin is associated with a specific cash drawer and has a batch total, a batch item count, and a batch ID. The batch item counter identifies the number of documents that the bin currently holds. Sample batch items include on-us-checks, transit checks, traveler's checks, credit card slips, and utility payments.

Bound measures are typically used with other measures to create custom measures.
