Troubleshooting Accumulation Processes


Table 51 contains a checklist of possible problems you may encounter with the accumulation and reaccumulation process and suggested actions.

Problem
Possible Solution
Transaction
  1. Verify that the Transaction has the correct Plan Date. The Plan Date is useful in determining which hierarchy to roll up achievement to managers.
  2. Verify that the Transaction Detail has the correct Plan Date, and make sure the Rule's Transaction Level is set at Transaction Detail.
  3. Verify that the Transaction has the correct Sales Team and effective dates.
  4. Verify that the Transaction Sales Team has the correct Territory information. Territory and Plan Date determine which hierarchy to roll up achievement to managers.
  5. Verify that the Transaction has the correct field values (to match any Plan Rule Filters).
Compensation Plan
  1. Verify that the Compensation Plan has the correct Plan Participants and effective dates.
  2. Verify that the Compensation Rule has the correct Earned status (for example, Paid) and that it matches the Transaction status.
  3. Verify that the Plan Rule has the correct Filters and that they match the fields on the Transaction.
On a Team-Bonus Plan Rule
  1. Verify that the Plan Rule has the correct Territory information.
  2. Verify that the Plan Participant has the correct Territory information set at the Personal Plan Rule level (especially if the Plan Rule Territory has been added or changed after the Plan Participant was added to the Plan).
  3. Verify that the Participation flag is set correctly at the Plan Rule level. The Participation flag setting applies to all Plan Participants (and cannot be personalized).
