Siebel Order Management Guide Addendum for Industry Applications > Introduction >
How This Guide Is Organized
The purpose of the guide's organization and content is to show how Order Management works in its default state, so the configuration team can make informed decisions about how to customize the product for their company's business practices and requirements.
The guide has chapters explaining user interface behavior for both the employee application and the customer application (eSales) components. It has other chapters explaining the workflows for both the employee application and the customer application (eSales) components. The guide also includes a chapter on how Order Management affects the functionality of your Siebel application outside the Quotes and Sales Orders modules. Finally, the guide includes reference appendixes that include descriptions of the business service methods used by the workflows.
If your company is using Siebel Partner Relationship Management in conjunction with Order Management, you should use different portions of this guide for the following purposes:
- For your partners selling products and services to their customers through PRM applications, refer to the chapters about the Employee Application User Interface and the Employee Application workflows.
- For your partners purchasing products and services from your company through PRM applications, refer to the chapters about the Partner Portal and the Customer Applications workflows.
For more information about using Order Management with Siebel Partner Relationship Management, see Order Management in Siebel PRM.
