Editing the siebel.ini Files for Console-Mode Installation

Before starting installation, you must disable portions of siebel.ini file. After you are done with installation, launch the configuration in console mode from the configuration subdirectory (such as ses/gtwysrvrcfg).

To modify the siebel.ini file

Using a text editor, modify the appropriate siebel.ini file or files as listed below:

NOTE:  You should pull a fresh copy of each siebel.ini to modify and save it in a unique location to avoid overwriting the original file.

Siebel Enterprise Server installer; for example, unix_server_UNIX_OS_ses_base/ses/siebel.ini.
Siebel Web Server Extensions installer; for example, unix_server_UNIX_OS_eapp_lep/eappweb/siebel.ini.
CORBA Object Manager installer; for example, unix_server_UNIX_OS_corba_lep/corbaom/siebel.ini.
Locate [RunAfter.Unix] section and change it as follows:
Siebel Enterprise Server

ConfigGtwysrvr =no

ConfigSiebsrvr =no

Siebel Web Server Extensions

ConfigUnixEappweb =no

CORBA Object Manager

ConfigUnixCorbaOM = no

NOTE:  Setting all keys to no disables all configurations.
