Editing the siebel.ini Files for Console-Mode Installation
Before starting installation, you must disable portions of
siebel.ini
file. After you are done with installation, launch the configuration in console mode from the configuration subdirectory (such asses/gtwysrvrcfg
).To modify the siebel.ini file
- Using a text editor, modify the appropriate
siebel.ini
file or files as listed below:NOTE: You should pull a fresh copy of each
siebel.ini
to modify and save itin a unique location to avoid overwriting the original file.
- Siebel Enterprise Server installer; for example,
unix_server
_UNIX_OS
_ses_base/ses/siebel.ini
.- Siebel Web Server Extensions installer; for example,
unix_server
_UNIX_OS
_eapp_lep/eappweb/siebel.ini
.- CORBA Object Manager installer; for example,
unix_server
_UNIX_OS
_
corba_lep/corbaom/siebel.ini
.- Locate
[RunAfter.Unix]
section and change it as follows:
Siebel Enterprise Server
ConfigGtwysrvr =no
ConfigSiebsrvr =no
Siebel Web Server Extensions
ConfigUnixEappweb =no
CORBA Object Manager
ConfigUnixCorbaOM = no
NOTE: Setting all keys to no disables all configurations.
