Editing the siebel.ini Files for Console-Mode Installation
Before starting installation, you must disable portions of
siebel.inifile. After you are done with installation, launch the configuration in console mode from the configuration subdirectory (such asses/gtwysrvrcfg).To modify the siebel.ini file
- Using a text editor, modify the appropriate
siebel.inifile or files as listed below:NOTE: You should pull a fresh copy of each
siebel.inito modify and save itin a unique location to avoid overwriting the original file.
- Siebel Enterprise Server installer; for example,
unix_server_UNIX_OS_ses_base/ses/siebel.ini.- Siebel Web Server Extensions installer; for example,
unix_server_UNIX_OS_eapp_lep/eappweb/siebel.ini.- CORBA Object Manager installer; for example,
unix_server_UNIX_OS_corba_lep/corbaom/siebel.ini.- Locate
[RunAfter.Unix]section and change it as follows:
Siebel Enterprise ServerConfigGtwysrvr =no
ConfigSiebsrvr =no
Siebel Web Server ExtensionsConfigUnixEappweb =no
CORBA Object ManagerConfigUnixCorbaOM = no
NOTE: Setting all keys to no disables all configurations.
