Tuning Central Dispatch for AIX
Before running Siebel Server with Central Dispatch on AIX, you need to set the following Central Dispatch settings.
To tune Central Dispatch for AIX
- Make sure that the VIP and the IP address of the Primary Scheduler are on the same Subnet.
- Use a dedicated user account for the Central Dispatch
admin
user and disable the lockout feature for this particular user.If the lockout feature is enabled, it will have an impact on the availability of the Central Dispatch site.
- On the Central Dispatch machine, change the

- Bring up the Central Dispatch Manager.
- Navigate to Site Setup > Operations > Advanced Options.

.- Navigate to Site Setup >Operations.
- If Central Dispatch is running, stop and restart the server.
- On the Central Dispatch machine and Siebel Server machines, set the following environment variables in the
$RESONATE/bin/cdagenctl
file. These values are the maximum permitted.HTTP_INACTIVE_CONN_TIMEOUT = 31536000
SERVER_INACTIVE_CONN_TIMEOUT = 31536000
- To restart the Central Dispatch daemons, run
/$RESONATE/bin/cdagentctl
.- Make sure that there are no scheduling rules registered with Central Dispatch before restarting the Siebel Servers after the site or servers were down for a refresh.
NOTE: If any open connections are observed across the site from the Dispatch Manager console, stop and restart the Central Dispatch site before starting the Siebel Servers.
