Bidding Scenario Without the Sealed-Bid Attribute

This example uses the same auction as the example, Bidding Scenario Using the Sealed-Bid Attribute. In this example, SEALED_FLG is set to N, indicating the auction is not a Sealed-bid auction. This example, shown in Table 10, is a single-quantity auction.

Bid Summary: Don receives a "bid too low" message after entering his Max Bid Amount. His Max Bid Amount drives up Mary's bid automatically to $11 as a result of her Max Bid Amount of $20. Note that in the Sealed-bid example, Don did not receive an error message.

Table 12 lists the results from the second bid in the auction.
