Creating a Catalog
A catalog is a collection of items arranged in a logical hierarchy of categories. A category in a catalog can include auction items as well as fixed-price products. A variety of auction items can be grouped in catalogs and categories in Siebel eAuction.
If you do not want to use the existing catalogs and categories, you can create a new catalog for your auction.
NOTE: A delegated catalog administrator can also can create auctions within existing catalogs, but a delegated catalog administrator cannot create catalogs. For more information about the delegated catalog administrator, see Siebel eSales Administration Guide.
To create a new catalog
- Navigate to the Catalog Administration screen.
- In the Catalogs list, click New.
A new record appears in the Catalogs list.

- Complete the following fields using the form under the More Info tab.
NOTE: All fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required.
