Defining Lister Fees
As global administrator, you determine the fee structures for the entire auction site. These fees are catalog-specific and apply only to third-party listers. For all fees, an email confirming the amount charged to the credit card will be sent to the auction lister.
To add lister fees
- From the Catalog Administration screen, select the catalog to which you want to add lister fees.
NOTE: The catalog must have a Catalog Type of Buying before you can add fees.
- Click the Auction Lister Fees tab.
- Click New.
A New Auction Lister Fee record appears.
- Complete the following fields as needed.
NOTE: You can choose to vary a fee amount based on the item's sale price. For example, you might want to charge a lister a 15% commission fee if the sale price of an item is less than $100, a 10% commission fee if the sale price is between $100 and $1000, or a 5% commission fee if the sale price is greater than $1000. You might choose to vary listing fees based on the item's price. For example, a $2 listing fee for items ranging in price from $0-$20, a $4 listing fee for items ranging in price from $21-$50, a $6 listing fee for items ranging in price from $51 to $100, and so on.
- To activate a fee, select the fee from the Auction Lister Fees tab and click Activate/Deactivate.
A check is added to the Active column.
NOTE: To edit a fee, select the fee from the Auction Lister Fees tab, make your changes, and click Save.
- To deactivate a fee, select the fee from the Auction Lister Fees tab and click Activate/Deactivate.
The check in the Active column is removed.
NOTE: To delete a fee, click the menu button on the Auction Lister Fees tab and choose Delete Record. The fee is removed from the tab.
