Bidding Scenario for Bid Timestamp Option 2

This example uses the same auction as the Option 1 example. Here, the auction is auctioned using eAuc:BidTimeTieBreakOption 2 (TSO2).

The bidding for this auction is shown in the following tables ordered by first bid, second bid, third bid, and so on. The first part of Table 19 shows the user's bid; the second part of the table shows the result of that bid.

Bid Summary: Mary changes her Max Bid Amount to $20 for one item. Because TSO2 is used, Mary's bid retains the timestamp of her prior bid and she is able to win her requested quantity by matching Don's $20 Max Bid. Don's bid is automatically raised to $20, and he is winning one item.

Table 22 lists the results from the fourth bid in the auction.

Bid Summary: Sarah enters a $30 Max Bid for both items in the auction. Sarah wins only one item, however, because Don's bid carries an earlier timestamp. To win both items in the auction, Sarah needed to enter a Max Bid of more than $30.

Auction Results Summary: At the end of the auction, Don and Sarah each win one item for $30.
