Removing the Siebel eAdvisor Applet from Siebel eSales Web Pages

As an example of a user interface customization, if you are not using Siebel eAdvisor with Siebel eSales, it is necessary to remove the Siebel eAdvisor applet from the views listed in Table 1.

To remove the Siebel eAdvisor applet from a view

  1. In Siebel Tools, lock the appropriate project.
  2. Select the View object.
  3. Query for the appropriate view.
  4. Expand the View object, and then select View Web Template.
  5. Select Base, expand the View Web Template object, and then select View Web Template Item.

    6. The View Web Template Items list appears.

  6. Delete eAdvisor GotoView Applet (eSales) from the View Web Template Items list.
  7. Save the project.
  8. Compile the .srf file, selecting the Locked projects radio button.
