WSDL resource records in the registry represents the logical subdivisions of a WSDL document. WSDL documents conform to one of the Web Services Description Language (WSDL) specifications now maintained at W3C.
Currently, the key subdivisions of a WSDL are mapped into Registry records as follows:
portType -> Interface.
binding -> binding.
service -> service.
port -> Endpoint.
Under an uncustomized Registry, these record types are synonymous. When searching or browsing for records representing a particular WSDL type you will often be quietly redirected to the controls for the type name more commonly used in the Registry. For example, when searching for a set of WSDL ports the Search Endpoint controls will load.
