Constraint Qualifiers

When working with multiple search constraint types and values, it is helpful to be able to modify the combinatorial logic that is applied. This can be done through the Find Qualifiers tab.

To Modify the Logic Combining Constraint Qualifiers...

  1. Navigate to the Find Qualifiers tab.

    1. Click the Search tab.

    2. Click the menu item for the record type you are searching for.

    3. On the right, click the Find Qualifiers tab. This is the one at the bottom.

  2. Set the logic through the radio buttons for each combination and sorting option.

    • Key combination - sets the way keyed values and key identifiers are to be mixed.

    • Sort by name - sets the order by which record names are returned.

    • Sort by date - sets the order by which records are returned by date.

    • Category bag - for Providers and Services, establishes whether category bags should be limited to the type sought or whether they should also be applied to child services and bindings.

    • Approximate match - uses wildcard behavior with strings where permitted. The percent character, "%", is replaced with multiple characters. The underscore character, "_", is replaced with any single character, and the backslash character "\" is used as an escape.

    • Case insensitive match - Ignore case when matching strings.

    • Binary sort - causes binary string sorting using Unicode code points.

    • Case insensitive sort - Ignore case when sorting names.

    • Signature present - restricts searches to only those entities that contain an XML Digital Signature element or those that are contained by a parent entity that has such a signature.

    • Suppress projected services - service projections must not be returned.

    • Show only my entities - show only those entities owned by the currently logged in user account.

  3. Set other search constraints.

  4. Click the Find button at the bottom of the page. All results will be listed in the table on the Results tab.
