Constraining Searches by tModel

Searches for Businesses, Services and especially Bindings can be constrained by sets of tModels that describe their instances.

To Constrain a Search by tModel

  1. Navigate to the T-Models tab.

    1. Click the Search tab.

    2. Select the menu item for the record type you are searching for.

    3. On the right, click the T-Models tab

  2. Click the Collect tModels button. This will take you to the Collect tModels page where you can add one or more tModel keys to a list that will be returned as your search criteria.

    To populate the tModel list in the left frame, you can use the edit box or the Find tModels control in the right frame.

    To Add Keys Directly...

    1. Enter or copy the complete string for the known tModel key.

    2. Click the green check icon.

    To Use the Find tModels Control

    1. In the tModel name edit box, enter all or part of the name. You can use the "%" wildcard at the start and end of the search string. For example "%Customer%" will return "AddCustomer", "AddCustomerSoapBinding", "CustomerNotification" and "CustomerNotificationBinding".

    2. Click the Find button at the bottom right corner of the page.

      As when searching for a tModel, the find algorithm can also be constrained using categories and identifiers.

    3. The search result will appear on the Results pane.

      Click the Select all button to prepare to add all query results to the list.

      Or, Check the box to the left of only those specific tModels you wish to add.

      To clear the selection click the Select none button.

    4. When you are satisfied with the selection, click the Add selected tModels button. The checked tModels will be added to the tModel list in the left frame.

    Click the Use Collection button to add the collected tModel keys to the originating page.

  4. Click the Find button. The results will be presented in a table on the Results tab.
