Upgrade Paths for Siebel Enterprise Server
Upgrading to Siebel CRM 8.1 requires an upgrade of all Siebel supported relational database platform software. See Table 8 for the list of supported relational databases. Table 33 lists the upgrade paths for Siebel Enterprise Server for Siebel Business Applications and Siebel Industry Applications. Direct upgrade paths to Siebel Industry Applications version 8.1.1 are only supported from version 7.5 or release 8.x of Siebel Business Applications. Siebel CRM 8.1.1 Statement of Direction/Planned Features and Siebel CRM 8.1.1 Focus on Siebel CRM Industry Applications contain more information. To locate these documents, within My Oracle Support, navigate to the Knowledge tab, and search for Doc ID 549362.1 and 751172.1, respectively. NOTE: The Siebel 8.1.1.3 Fix Pack is the only Fix Pack that contains 7.8 Siebel Business Applications to 8.1.1 Siebel Industry Applications single-step upgrade scripts. After you have upgraded, apply the latest Siebel 8.1.1.x Fix Pack.

NOTE: If you are upgrading to the Siebel 8.1.1.3 Fix Pack, the upgrade path is as follows: Upgrade to Siebel version 8.1.1, Siebel 8.1.1.1, or Siebel 8.1.1.2, and then upgrade to Siebel 8.1.1.3. This applies to a Siebel database upgrade only.
