Running the Installer Script on UNIX

The following procedures describe the installer scripts for each the installation options for installing Siebel Analytics.

To install the Siebel Analytics software on UNIX

  1. Log in as the user who will be running the Analytics processes.
  2. Insert the Siebel Analytics Server installation CD-ROM.
  3. Change to the directory where the installation CD-ROM is mounted.
  4. Run the installer.

    The installation script has various prompts and default answers to prompts. The prompts and their defaults and meanings (for each installation option) are shown in the appropriate section that follows.

    NOTE:  Default ports are used for installation. If you want to modify the port numbers, see NQSConfig.INI File Reference.

  5. Proceed to Testing the Siebel Analytics Server Installation on UNIX Platforms.
