Configuring the Informatica Repository (in Repository Server Administration Console)
Before configuring the Informatica Repository, do the following:
- Create the ODBC connection for the Siebel Data Warehouse.
- Make sure the Informatica software has been installed.
To configure the Informatica Repository
- Start the Informatica Repository Server service.
- Start the Informatica Repository Server Administration Console.
- Add a new server. It is recommended that you use the machine name where the Informatica Repository Server is installed.
- Connect to the repository. The default password is Administrator.
- Click Add Repository and add Siebel_DW_Rep to the Cache.
- Enter the Database Type.
- Enter the Repository Name as Siebel_DW_Rep.
- Enter the Connect String Name. If you are using an MSSQL Server database, use
SERVERNAME@DATABASENAME.
- Enter the Code Page based on the operating system platform.
- Enter a User and Password, and then click OK to save the information.
- Select the repository, right-click and start the Informatica Repository Agent.
NOTE: The Informatica repository tables need to be analyzed for better performance. This procedure must be done manually by the database administrator.
