This section contains an overview of the layers of an Analytics repository and provides instructions for creating a repository file, the first step in setting up a repository.
The Siebel Analytics Server stores metadata in repositories. The metadata contains information about the users or groups authorized to connect to the repository. You set up users, groups, access privileges, and query privileges using Siebel Analytics Server security. For more information, see Analytics Security Manager.
The metadata also contains information about physical databases and other sources where the data is stored. It defines the logical business models which appear to users in the presentation layer.
Most windows and dialog boxes have online help containing information to help you complete a task. To access a help file, click the help buttons in a window or dialog box.
