This diagram shows the screen flow for the Operational Views functionality on the SIM Tablet. Selecting Operational Views from the menu drawer directs the user to the Operational Views screen.

Operational Views

This section describes each available operational view.

New Items

Figure 21-2 New Items Operational View

The New Items operational view displays active items for the user's store that were received for the first time in the past seven days. The receipt may have been from a supplier, warehouse, or store. The records are grouped together by department. Fields include item, description, primary location if sequencing is used, first received date, and available stock on hand.

Noncompliant Tickets

Figure 21-3 Noncompliant Tickets Operational View

The Noncompliant Tickets operational view displays active items for the user's store that have a regular price change without a ticket or label. The date is passed in by the user and the system looks for items with regular price changes for that date where there are no labels submitted to printing, there are no tickets, or a ticket quantity is less than or equal to the stock on hand. Fields include item, description, ticket quantity, and stock on hand.

Expiring Items

Figure 21-4 Expiring Items Operational View

The Expiring Items operational view displays items for the user's store that are expiring on a given date. The expiration date is passed in by the user. The expiration date on the item will be those that are captured through extended attributes on transactions. Fields include expiration date, item, description, and location if sequencing is used.

Out of Stock

Figure 21-5 Out of Stock Operational View

The Out of Stock operational view displays active items for the user's store that are out of stock, meaning the available stock on hand is less than or equal to zero. Fields include item, description, inbound, and ordered.

User Interface Guidelines

Operational Views exist on MAF large.

Technical

The operational view functionality uses regular EJB service APIs to load information about items and/or transactions that have taken place in the system to gather information to display. There are no web services or batch jobs to support this functionality. It is available on the MAF large format only and retrieves its information from tables described in other chapters.
