Scenario for Using Prompted Segmentation for Nested and Eligible Audience Segments

This scenario gives one example of how prompted segmentation may be used for nested and eligible audience segments. You may use prompted segmentation differently, depending on your business process.

A company would like to create a segment to pull all accounts in California and then pull all associated contacts for those accounts. The base contacts segment must reflect the dynamic constraint, as in the following:

Start With

<Account segment defining account in CA>

Keep

Target Level ID IS PROMPTED

Another nested example would be as follows:

Start With

<Nested segment 1>

Keep

State in ('CA') AND Target Level ID IS PROMPTED

Keep

<Nested segment 2>

Keep

Target Level ID IS PROMPTED

NOTE:  For the purpose of optimization, the IS PROMPTED filter is added to blocks that do not have nested segments. If there is at least one nested segment, the last IS PROMPTED criteria block is added.
