Executing Contact Planning Rules


Once the contact planning rules are set up, these rules are applied based on the context passed in during execution. There are two ways of passing this context:

  • Through a test UI built into the segmentation engine, allowing the user to pick the contact planning rules type (for example, channel:email).
  • Through the following SOAP calls: getCounts, writeListFiles, SaveResultSet. For details, see SOAP Calls for Marketing.

    NOTE:  If a segment has been saved with contact planning rules, the rules are applied through SOAP calls. SOAP calls will override any contact planning rules.
