The following sections describe how to install Oracle TSAM using graphical user interface (GUI) mode installation on both Windows and UNIX systems:
The graphical user interface mode installation is the graphics-based method of executing the Oracle TSAM installation program. It can run on both Windows and UNIX systems.
To run GUI-mode installation, the computer console on which you are installing the software must support a Java-based GUI. All consoles for Windows systems support Java-based GUIs, but not all consoles for UNIX systems do.

If you select Full Install or Manager Install, you can choose whether installing the bundled Tomcat or not. If Tomcat is installed, startup/shutdown scripts are provided as well. If Tomcat is not installed, you must manually deploy TSAM Manager to a Web container.
You can select from the following options:
Click the Choose an Oracle Home option if you already have one or more Oracle Home directories on your system. Select an Oracle Home directory from the list displayed to the right of the option.
All valid Oracle Home directories are displayed in this list. Valid Oracle Home directories are directories where Oracle products have been installed using the standard installation program.
Click the Specify an Oracle Home button to select an existing directory.
Perform the following steps to uninstall Oracle TSAM software:
The Oracle TSAM Uninstaller screen appears. Click Uninstall to start uninstalling Oracle TSAM. Click Done to complete the uninstallation.
