Installation Prerequisites

Before you run the AquaLogic Interaction JSR-168 Container installer, complete the following steps:

  1. Download the most up-to-date documentation from http://www.oracle.com/technology/documentation/index.html.
  2. Read the product release notes for additional information on compatibility issues, known problems, and workarounds that might affect how you proceed with your deployment. Release notes are located at the top-level directory of the product package.
  3. Provision host computers for your deployment and install prerequisite software. For details, see the Hardware and Software Requirements that follow.

 


Hardware and Software Requirements

The following tables summarize the operating system and software requirements for AquaLogic Interaction JSR-168 Container.

Software Requirements on Linux and Unix

Note: For the most up-to-date list of supported software for your deployment, refer to the Interoperability page in the AquaLogic User Interaction Support Center.
Caution: IPv6 is not supported. You should verify that IPv6 is not enabled prior to installing JSR-168 Container.

Application Server: JSR-168 requires an application server that follows the 2.3 Servlet specifications. The following application servers are supported:
  • On AIX
    • IBM WebSphere 6.0.1 with the Java 1.4 VM
    • IBM WebSphere 6.1 with the Java 5.0 VM
  • On HP-UX
    • BEA WebLogic 9.2 with the Java 5.0 VM
  • On Red Hat and SUSE
    • BEA WebLogic 8.1sp5 with the Java 1.4 VM
    • BEA WebLogic 9.1 and 9.2 with the Java 5.0 VM
    • IBM WebSphere 6.0.1 with the Java 1.4 VM
    • IBM WebSphere 6.1 with the Java 5.0 VM
    • Tomcat 5.0.28 with the Java 1.4 VM
  • On Solaris
    • BEA WebLogic 8.1sp4 and 8.1sp5 with the Java 1.4 VM
    • BEA WebLogic 9.1 and 9.2 with the Java 5.0 VM
    • IBM WebSphere 6.0.1 with the Java 1.4 VM
    • IBM WebSphere 6.1 with the Java 5.0 VM
