Published Tips Folder

To learn what tips are and what they are used for, refer to What You Can Do with Tips.

This folder displays all approved tips. It displays the following information for each tip:

Column	Description
Tips	Displays the tip subject.
Categories	Displays the categories to which the tip belongs.
Created	Displays the date on which the tip was created.
Created By	Displays the user who wrote the tip.
Avg Rating	Displays the percentage of positive ratings that have been given by users.

You can perform the following actions in the Published Tips Folder:

To view the details of a tip, click the tip (you can click anywhere in the row). To learn about the details, refer to Tip Details.
To submit a new tip, click Create Tip. Tips do not display to other users until they are approved. For more information refer to Create or Edit Tip.
Note: You must have permission to create tips. If you think you are supposed to be able to create tips, but you do not see the Add Tip button, contact your portal administrator.
To rate a tip, display its details, then, next to Did you find this tip helpful? click Yes or No.
Note: You cannot rate tips that you submitted.
To see only those tips in a particular category, select the category from the drop-down list and click .
To search for a particular tip:

If you want to limit your search to a particular category, select a category from the drop-down list.
In the text box, type the text you want to search for.
Click .

Any tips in the selected folder that meet your search criteria will be displayed. For more information on how search works, refer to Rules for Searches.
Note: Searches in the Published Tips folder apply to the following fields: Subject, Categories, tip text, and Keywords.

To display all tips after performing a search, click .
To sort by column content, click the name of the column. displays next to the column name to show that the list is sorted in descending order by that column. If you click the column name again, the list will be sorted in ascending order () by that column.
If there are more than ten tips, click Next (or click a page number) to view more tips.

Tip Details

When you click a tip, the following details display:

Detail	Description
Rating	Displays the number of users who have found the tip helpful out of the total number of users who have rated the tip.
Subject	Displays the name of the tip.
Created By	Displays the user who submitted the tip.
Date Created	Displays the date the user submitted the tip.
Tip	Displays the full text of the tip.
Categories	Displays the categories associated with the tip.
Keywords	Displays any searchable keywords associated with the tip.
Did you find this tip helpful?	Allows you to rate this tip. Click Yes or No to specify if the tip contains useful information. Note: You cannot rate tips that you submitted. After you rate a tip, this option no longer displays.
