With the Configuration Expert, you can more readily get your new BEA TUXEDO applications up and running by stepping through the following tasks:

• Opening an Existing Configuration File or Creating a New One

• Specifying Application Properties

• Configuring Machines (Step1)

• Configuring Groups (Step 2)

• Configuring Servers (Step 3)

• Configuring Optional Components (Step 4)

• Generating the Configuration File and Starting the Application (Step 5)

• Adding or Deleting Objects in the Tree

• Specifying Settings on the Expert

• Saving, Closing, and Exiting

• Using the Configuration Data Editor

  Note: Many of these examples are specific to Windows environments. While most of the screens in UNIX are similar, your screen may look slightly different. Also, the default directory for Configuration Expert is:
  On Windows NT or 95: Drive:\TUXBldr\ConfigExpert
On UNIX:<Builder_Install_Dir>/client/ConfigExpert
